Weekend mix
Thoughts are turning to the weekend. After fine weather for much of the British Isles and Ireland over the past few days, what can we look forward to for the weekend.
Well, Friday looks to be a good day for most places. There will be good sunny spells for most, although increasing winds could bring some drizzle to the west of Scotland and Ireland.
On Saturday it will be the Midlands and southeast England that have sunny spells after morning cloud burns away. More northern and western areas look set to be cloudier with stronger winds and drizzle. There could be gales in Scotland with heavy rain reaching the west.
Probably less breezy for Sunday, although rain affecting much of southern Scotland, northern England, Wales and Ireland. Most of this will be light, although some heavier bursts are possible in the west.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
