A damp weekend.for some
If you read this feature yeaterday, youll know that I was undecided about how wet the coming weekend would be. Indications were that it could be a fairly wet weekend for many parts of the British Isles and Ireland.
Well, were now twenty-four hours later, and thats a long time in weather forecasting! (Now, where have you heard that before?). The latest computer models are suggesting a different feel to the weekend.
My latest thoughts now are that the area of low pressure responsible for the rain will be pushed further southwards, to be moving up the English Channel through the course of the weekend.
The result of this shift is that although most of southern Ireland and southern England, as well as parts of southern Wales may well be cloudy with periods of rain, this rain should become lighter and more patchy for Sunday.
More northern parts of Wales, the Midlands, Ireland and Scotland are likely to be drier and bright with the best of the sunshine to be found here. The only fly in the ointment is that low cloud may increase along eastern coasts of England and Scotland, especially on Sunday, when it could become windy too. Feeling cold in that wind.
Weatheronline will be keeping an eye on the latest forecasts and will keep you up-to-date.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
