Has Autumn Arrived Early?
After some reasonable weather this weekend, it seems that next week is going to become far more unsettled over the whole of the country.
Rain arrives in western Scotland and Ireland on Sunday morning, edging eastwards to be through northern England, Wales, the Midlands and southwest England by late evening. The rain then edges further east overnight.
Monday morning sees the rain still through much of England, with heavy bursts in the Midlands and central southern England, this edging away into the North Sea in the afternoon, although perhaps holding on through East Anglia for a time.
More heavy rain in the west and north on Tuesday as a deep area of low pressure spins up between Scotland and Iceland. This will push heavy rain eastwards on Wednesday, bringing strong winds with gales in many places, to be replaced by heavy showers and strong winds on Friday.
So, overall, not a great week and one which could see a good couple of inches of rain in many parts of the British Isles.
Despite the forecast, whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
