Low pressure brings autumn rain
Many parts of the UK and Ireland are enjoying a fine day today; there's plenty of sunshine around, but the wind is making it feel a little nippy.
Changes are afoot however. An area of low pressure is spinning itself up to the west of Ireland. It will be thrown, almost like a sling shot, eastwards through the southwest approaches, and across Wales and the Midlands during Friday.
Accompanying the low will be heavy rain and some strong winds. Look out for gales through parts of Wales, southwest and southern England during Friday, as a heavy period of rain passes through the areas during the rush hour. Actual totals of rain may not be as high as in recent days, but nonetheless, ther rain is likely to be intensive for a time.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
