Southern rain, northern sun

A battlew ill be taking place over our heads this weekend. High pressure will be to the north, with low pressure to the south, moving through the bay of Biscay.

In-between these two areas there will be an occluded front, and the position of this will be marking the boundary between a wet weekend for some and dry for other. Most of the cloud and rain will be across southern Ireland, southern wales and southern England through Saturday.

More northern areas will be having much fairer conditions with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions.

Little change on Sunday, although the rain drifts a little further south. Most of the southern counties of England, south of the M4 will be cloudy and damp with drizzly rain, although this should slowly fade away.

Once agaion central and northern areas will be brighter and drier. The best of the sunshine through western Scotland and northwest England, with lower cloud affecting eastern coasts.

So not a bad weekend for most of the country, although if you are I southern England, you’ll certainly be under the weather!

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
