Heavy showers, thundery in places
Well, I don’t know about you, but I could do with some decent spells of sunshine this weekend?
There’s good and bad news. Which one would you like first? The bad? Okay, well I think we will all be seeing some heavy showers through the course of this weekend. As I write this on Saturday morning the radar picture is showing heavy showers crossing southwest England and Wales.
These will be moving through the rest of the British isles during the day with the showers becoming widespread and heavy. Watch out for strong gusts of winds in those showers.
However, later in the day the showers should start to fade in the west, and so I think for much of Wales and western England we should have drier conditions and sunny spells for this evening.
More showers are likely through Sunday, again these heavy after a brighter start. The showers slow moving over northern England and Scotland. Late on it may become windy across the south with a risk of gales in southern Wales and southwest England.
Whatever the weather keep the sun shining!
Simon
