A north-south divideand the north will win!

If yourgoing to bein Scotland this weekend, then you have chosen well! Its here that high pressure, centred over Scandinavia will be having the greatest influence on conditions.

To the south though, low pressure moving into the Bay of Biscay will be bringing much more unsettled weather. Cloud and rain will be moving northwards across much of southern Ireland, Wales and southern parts of England.

However, its not all bad news because I think that later on in the afternoon we might well find sunny spells coming through along southern coasts. If this happens it could become warm in places with temperatures perhaps to 17 or 18C here.

Little change is expected into Sunday with yet more bands of cloud and rain passing northwards across southern Ireland, Wales and the south of England, although northern England may also be affected by showery rain during the day on Sunday.

By far the best of the conditions will be saved for Scotland, with the west certainly having the best of this. Eastern coasts may see a few patches of low cloud drifting in at times, and it is likely to bye feeling chilly here.

We are then set for a more unsettled period of weather next week, but details are still a little sketchy at the moment. Hope to have more for you on this over the weekend, so remember to check back with Weatheronline regularly.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
