Thundery Friday, risk of flooding
After the flooding caused by the weekends thunderstorms, I'm currently watching the risk of thunderstorms returning on Friday.
It is going to become very warm or hot over much of England and Wales today and Thursday, as cooler, fresher air moves in from the Atlantic.
The contrast in these temperatures seems likely to be producing some heavy thunderstorms over England and Wales on Friday, the big question is where will they be?
You'll need to monitor Weatheronline or give our forecasters a call for the latest information, but just now I think that central Southern parts of England, the Midlands and the east of Wales, as well as parts of the southern Pennines are at most risk from those storms. If they occur there could be some torrential downpours.
Much fresher weather to the north and west of the front, and this weather is expected to move through the rest of the United Kingdom and Ireland on Sunday.
Whatever the weather...keep the sun shining!
