Easter Sunshine?
I was really hoping that by today I could be more certain about my predictions for the Easter Weekend. Well, weather forecasting never quite works out that way!
Here at the Weatheronline Weather Centre we’ve been pouring over the details of the Easter forecast all morning, and we’ve finally decided on what we think will happen. Be warned though, this could change tomorrow!
At the moment we think that Good Friday should bring reasonable conditions for much of the British Isles. However, more western areas such as Wales, southwest England, Ireland and western Scotland are likely to have more cloud at first and drizzle. It could be very warm in the southeast in the afternoon with temperatures at 19C.
For Saturday things are a little more complicated. Low pressure slips to the south. Now, latest hints are that this could turn out to be a rather wet day over southern Ireland and southern counties of England. A further band of rain troubles northern England as well. Plenty of cloud around for much of central and eastern England and the east of Wales. Feeling cold here in the increasing east wind. The best of any brightness to the west.
On aster Sunday we could be in for a cold one with outbreaks of showery rain in the southern half of the UK and Ireland, but brighter in western Scotland. Cold in that east wind again.
After that, well, we suspect that high pressure is going to be building from the north. Southern areas may again be cloudy with some outbreaks of rain, whilst the north is much brighter.
Treat this forecast very cautiously though as it may change significantly. Whatever happens, Weatheronline will keep you up-to-date.
