A breakkdown on the way

Well, it really hasn't been too bad this Holiday weekend for many of us. The best of the sunshine has always been to the west of the country, although eastern parts of northern England and Scotland have been colder with more cloud.

However, things do seem set to change as we go into the beginning of the new week.

Indications at present are that on Holiday Monday a weak front will move moving across southern Ireland, southern Wales and southwest England. Here, there will be outbreaks of showery rain.

By Tuesday that cloud and rain will have spread through much of the rest of the British Isles. A shallow low passing along southern coasts may bring some heavier bursts of rain here for a while, although my confidence in this is low at the moment.

It should be a brighter day across Ireland with sunny spells coming through.

Overall though, considering how early Easter is this year, not a bad few days.

Whatever happens, keep the sun shining.
