Heavy rain for England & Wales

More heavy rain is expected during the next 24 hours, with southern and central parts of England and Wales experiencing most of this. The rain will be a relief for gardeners and farmers, but may well cause hazardous driving conditions.

Early Wednesday morning most of the rain is expected through southern counties of England, most to the southwest.

During the course of the morning the rain will become heavier as it passes northwards to be turning heavy over most of southern England and parts of East Anglia. We could see as much of an inch of rain in some paces to midday.

Through the afternoon it is the turn of the Midlands and south Wales to have most of the rainfall, this lasting through the evening with perhaps 2 inches possible in parts of Wales and the western Midlands.

Most of England and Wales will have a very wet day so do check back with Weatheronline for regular updates.
