A warm weekend, but take your brolly!

The Bank Holiday weekend looks set to bring a mixed bag of weather for many of us.

Saturday morning is probably going to be fairly cloudy over much of Wales, and western England at first; there could be outbreaks of drizzle at first too. This cloud and drizzle spreading north towards southern Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northwest England in the afternoon.

More southern and eastern parts of England will be brighter, although misty in the morning. This clearing to leave a sunny day. Sunshine then comes through across Wales and the Midlands. Feeling warm in the south, perhaps with temperatures to 22C.

Sunday sees a few thundery showers breaking out through western Wales, Ireland and the west of England. Dry and very warm for much of England and Scotland, with temperatures to 24C.

The risk of showers is increased for Monday. There could be some thundery showers, and these may become more widespread. Probably not as warm for many areas, although still very warm in the southeast.

Whatever the weather keep the sun shining!
