Colder weather returns but not yet!

Here at the Weatheronline Weather Centre were keeping a close eye on conditions at the end of next week.

For the past couple of days forecast models have been hinting at colder weather spreading back into the British Isles and Ireland in a few days time. Of course, this is still a long way away, and so to some extent this forecast should be treated with caution at this stage. However. several models support this and so its worth mentioning just now.

By the end of next week, a large area of low pressure is forecast to move eastwards through the country. This could bring heavy periods of rain, possibly turning to sleet of Scotland, Ireland and northern England later.

As the low pressure moves eastwards, north to northwest winds may set in, bringing an unsettled weekend. There would be a mix of sunny spells and heavy showers, these possibly wintry, even at lower levels in Scotland.

Temperatures rising to around 4 or 5C in Scotland, 9 or 10C in the far south of England.

Well be watching things carefully over the coming hours, and will advise you of any significant changes.

Whatever the weather keep the sun shining!
