Very changeable, with rain at times.

Friday 05/03/04 to Saturday 06/03/04
Friday will be a battleground between cold air to the east, and milder air in the west. For the most part, Ireland, western Scotland, Wales and western parts of England will be in the milder air, but rather cloudy with showers developing during the day. Eastern England and eastern Scotland will also be cloudy, but rather cold with more persistent rain, perhaps turning to snow over the hills of north-east England and eastern Scotland. Light winds everywhere however. The exact movement of fronts across eastern parts on Sunday are currenlty rather uncertain, however it does look as if they will move slowly westwards, getting into western Scotland, and western parts of England during the day. This will mean cloudier skies with spells of rain or sleet, but eastern England, together with Wales and Ireland will be mostly dry with some brightness. Still mild in the west, but rather chilly in the east.

Sunday 07/03/04 to Monday 08/03/04
On Wednesday, winds will fall light across all parts, but cloud and increasingly patchy rain looks set to remain across central and eastern parts of both England and Scotland. Western parts, together with Northern Ireland and Wales will be bright with some sunshine, although cloud will tend to thicken in the south-west towards the end of the day. Staying mild in the west, but still rather cold in the east. By Monday, the last of the cold, cloudy conditions will move away from eastern parts, then becoming mostly dry here with a little brightness. Out to the west however, across south-west England, Wales, much of Ireland and western Scotland, there will be rather cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, with mist and low cloud over the hills.. It will become very mild here however with increasingly strong south-westerly winds.

Tuesday 09/03/04 to Wednesday 10/03/04
Tuesday will be rather unsettled, with outbreaks of showery rain spreading from western parts during the morning, into central and eastern parts during the afternoon, some heavy. Behind the rain, sunny spells and blustery showers will follow, in fresh to strong south-westerly winds. Despite the unsettled weather, it will be very mild in most places. On Wednesday, winds will turn more westerly, behind another band of rain sweeping across most parts during the day. It will become a little cooler out to the west, with showers perhaps turning wintry over the mountains. Staying mild in the east and south though, if rather wet.
