Weekly Outlook : 03/11/03-09/11/03
Wet and very windy in the north and west. Drier with sunny spells elsewhere.

Monday 03/11/03 to Tuesday 04/11/03
On Monday morning, scattered thundery showers will clear from south-east England, then many parts of central and southern England and Wales will be dry with sunny spells. North Wales, north-west England and western Scotland will be windy with sunshine and showers, although they will ease later. Northern Ireland will be very windy with gales likely, although showers will ease during the afternoon. Eastern Scotland and eastern England will be bright with only scattered showers. Overnight, gale force south-westerly winds will bring outbreaks of heavy rain across much of Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland. By Tuesday morning, much of western Britain will be cloudy and wet, with the heaviest rain always across Ireland and Scotland. For eastern parts of Wales, and central and southern England, it will be a mostly dry day with occasional sunny spells, the best in the south-east. Breezy everywhere, but winds in the north-west will reach gale force.

Wednesday 05/11/03 to Thursday 06/11/03
Wednesday will be a very windy day in Scotland and much of Ireland, with winds reaching gale force around the coasts. It will also be rather wet in the extreme north-west, although rain becoming lighter in the afternoon. For England and Wales, there will be a lot of cloud around, but also some sunny spells, especially across south-east England with high pressure close by. Winds will be light in southern parts, so mist and fog will form overnight. On Thursday morning, fog in England will quickly clear to give a mostly dry day with sunny spells. South-west England, Wales and much of Ireland will be rather cloudy, with scattered showers at times, more especially during the afternoon. Scotland will become mostly dry though, and with winds easing it will feel less cold. Very mild in the south.

07/11/03 to Sunday 09/11/03
High pressure to the east of the UK will be very much in charge on Friday, thus many places will be dry with sunny spells. There will be rather more cloud in western Ireland at times however, perhaps with the odd spot of rain and it will be windy here. With a southerly flow however, it will be very mild everywhere. There will be very little change on Saturday, with largely dry, sunny conditions after overnight fog has cleared. Western parts of Ireland will again be rather cloudy and windy, but it will be mild everywhere. On Sunday, there may be a few showery outbreaks of rain across Ireland, south-west England and South Wales, but on the whole it will be another mild, bright and dry day.
