Weekly Outlook : 07/04/03-13/04/03
Settled, bright to start. Showers/Cloudy Later.

Monday 07/04/03
After a misty start, most places will be bright with long sunny spells with high pressure still in control. It will be cloudier across western parts, and perhaps the south-east. Feeling cooler than recently with highs of 10°C-11°C in the south, 14°C-17°C in the north, but very chilly in the south with stiff easterly winds. A sharp frost in central parts overnight, with lows of perhaps -2°C to -4°C. Patchy fog will develop in sheltered valleys towards dawn.

Tuesday 08/04/03
A cold, frosty start across much of England, but dawning bright or sunny. Thicker cloud will plague the far north-east, and also the west once more. Winds will still be strong in the south-west, again from a cold easterly direction. Maximum temperatures today ranging from 12°C in the south-east, 16°C in sheltered, sunny north.

Wednesday 09/04/03
High pressure still on the scene, but increasing amounts of cloud will limit any long spells of sunshine. A weakening front will spread in from the east, giving perhaps the odd spot of drizzle in eastern parts. Scattered showers will also affect the south-east with the best of the sunshine across western mainland UK.

Thursday 10/04/03
Confidence is still low at this point, however it does look increasingly likely that our long settled spell may come to an end today. Fronts will encroach from the east as a low develops over the North Sea. Showery rain is expected anywhere in Scotland and England, always lighter in the south and east. Dry, bright in the west.

Friday 11/04/03
The weather becoming more mobile today, with fronts pushing up from the south as low pressure tracks westward across the UK. Rain will spread up into southern parts, while scattered showers affect the north. Dry for a time across central and western parts, perhaps some brightness. Feeling less cold in general with a southerly flow.

Weekend 12/04/03 - 13/04/03
Low pressure will be firmly in charge, throwing bands of showery rain up from the south-west. It's difficult to say exactly where the rain will be, and how heavy, but it does look like Saturday may provide the first substantial rainfall for some time. Some bright spells around between the bands of showers, and feeling mild where these occur.
