30 Day Outlook

Mixed, then high pressure in second half of February

The forecast pattern ahs held up well over the previous few weeks, with the major changes in the weather highlighted successfully.

At the beginning of the forecast period a west to south westerly regime will return. Changeable weather over the north west, although high pressure to the south. This bringing drier weather to southern Britain.

All area are then likely to have more changeable weather conditions as low pressure takes control to the west. A mild S to SW regime continuing, so relatively mild.

The middle to later stages of February are likely to have a change in conditions. This has been highlighted for some time and we see no reason to change this forecast now.

High pressure is likely to build in with conditions becoming more settled.

The beginning of March probably sees high pressure continuing to dominate so more fine weather, although we are unsure as to exactly where the high will be, and so predicting temperatures is difficult.
