Monday 14/06/04 to Tuesday 15/06/04
The start of the new week is looking like starting settled, as high pressure moves in from the south-west on Monday. This will give much of Ireland, Wales and England a dry day with plenty of warm sunshine. Westerly winds will continue to blow rather fresh across Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England though, and this will continue to bring in a good deal of cloud with occasional rain. On Tuesday, the high pressure will remain in south-western parts, giving Wales, Ireland and western parts of England another fine and sunny day. Elsewhere, the winds will turn more north-westerly, bringing a band of cloud and patchy rain across much of Scotland and Northern Ireland, later into northern and eastern parts of England. Feeling warm in southern parts, but perhaps on the chilly side in the windier north.

Wednesday 16/06/04 to Thursday 17/06/04
By midweek, the high pressure will be centred across western parts of Ireland, giving both Ireland and Northern Ireland sunny spells on Monday. Western parts of England and Wales will also benefit from dry and bright conditions, and it'll feel pleasantly warm here. Elsewhere, the north-westerly wind will continue to bring a good deal of cloud across Scotland, together with northern and eastern England, with scattered showers. Feeling rather cool here in the wind. By Thursday, only western parts of Scotland will be left with occasional showers and rather cloudy skies, as the high pressure builds in from the west. The rest of the UK will be fine with some warm sunshine, the best of which will again by in more south-western parts. Becoming rather chilly overnight, with some fog forming in places.

Friday 18/06/04 to Saturday 19/06/04
Very little is expected to change with the synoptic setup on Friday, so much of the UK will enjoy another mostly fine day with some decent sunny spells. Once again however, Scotland will draw the short straw, with a good deal of cloud and some light rain and drizzle later. Feeling warm in the south, around average in the north as the winds ease. On Saturday and Sunday, the ridge of high pressure over the south-west looks set to become re-inforced by high pressure out in the Atlantic. This will give all parts and mixture of patchy cloud and long sunny spells, even across Scotland. Temperatures will be around average, or a little above in the south.
