Friday 18/06/04 to Saturday 19/06/04
With a northerly breeze across all parts on Friday, it will still be rather cool. That said, much of Ireland, together with western parts of England and Wales will have plenty of sunshine, so it will feel pleasant enough. The winds will be stronger across Scotland, and central and eastern parts of England however, and this will encourage showers to break out during the afternoon, perhaps heavy at times. These will die away quickly during the evening however, with a dry a chilly night to follow. On Saturday, high pressure will continue to influence much of Ireland, Wales and western parts of both England and Scotland, with more largely dry and sunny conditions. Showers will spread through eastern parts of England and Scotland once again however, becoming heavy for a time during the afternoon. Feeling rather cool once again, especially in the east with more of a northerly breeze.
Sunday 20/06/04 to Monday 21/06/04
There will be very little change on Sunday, with high pressure firmily holding ground to the west of the UK, and low pressure to the east giving a persisting northerly flow. In the sunshine it will feel pleasantly warm, especially across western parts. There will always be more cloud around in eastern parts however, perhaps with a few showers, and with fresher winds here it will feel rather cool. By Monday, the winds will turn more north-westerly and ease somewhat, but the downside is that cloud and rain will sweep into Northern Ireland and Scotland during the day. Apart from a scattering of showers elsewhere, it will be mostly dry with some warm sunny spells. Feeling less cool everywhere, especially in eastern parts where the northerly wind will finally ease.
Tuesday 22/06/04 to Wednesday 23/06/04
Outbreaks of rain will sweep across much of England during the morning, before clearing out into the North Sea during the afternoon. Behind this across the rest of England and Wales, it will become dry with some bright or sunny spells, but it will be rather breezy. After a brief respite during the morning, further showery rain will move into Northern Ireland and much of Scotland, some heavy, and accompanied by gusty north-westerly winds. On Wednesday, there will still be somewhat of a north-westerly flow, but as the high pressure nears western parts once more, it will encourage some warmer, sunnier weather to develop. Across eastern parts of the country however, it will still remain rather windy with rain never far away from eastern coastal regions of England.
