The week ahead
Outlook summary

Overview

Next week will be unsettled and changeable for the south with lots of rain and showers but probably rather mild, while high pressure developing to the north will cause a dry start for Scotland, but cold northwesterly air is expected to enter the northern UK around mid-week. This wintry interlude might later affect the south as well.

Thus there is a certain risk that the second half of the week might be wintry and unpleasant for much of the UK again. However, confidence is very low as the various models are differeing from each other quite a bit this time. Otherwise the weather will continue relatively mild, wet and unsettled.
