Weekly Outlook Summary
Valid for Sunday 17/08/03 to Friday 22/08/03

While the southeast is likely to stay mostly dry for the first part of the week there will be some wetter and unsettled weather affecting many parts of the UK. The unsettled conditions will linger over the northern UK until at least Tuesday, but also with some sunny intermittent sunny spells. Temperatures will be around average, except for the southeast, where they might exceed 25C locally again. However, nighttime temperatures can be already rather chilly, especially under clear skies away from the sea.

Moderate confidence that this picture won't change much for the second half of the week. Unsettled and changeable for the northern British Isles, some patchy warmth from time to time, as the sun is breaking through. Some heavy rain at times over western slopes of Wales and Ireland. Better chances for drier weather for the southern and especially the southeastern UK, with a rsik for showers. However, the actual amount of rainfall depends on how strong the Atlantic fronts will develop. Temperatures slightly above average in general.
