Warmth and sun returning right in time for the bank holiday weekend. After a windy and rather unsettled Friday summer will be pushing again thanks to a ridge of high pressure over W Europe extending from the Azores high and a large Atlantic low west of Ireland. Together they are scooping warm subtropical air onto the British Isles.
Saturday: Many cloud over northern parts of Ireland, Wales, England and SE Scotland. Sunny spells elsewhere. Mainly dry, with scattered showers over N Ireland. Light winds from southwest. Turning warm for many, but very warm again for southern parts of Ireland and England. Temperatures might reach 28C and even 30C again locally.
Sunday: Sunny periods and dry for most, sunny spells but risk for isolated showers over Ireland and Wales. Slightly breezier near coasts. Warm everywhere, southwest warmest this time. Might see another 28C again.
Monday - Bank Holiday: Warm, dry, sunny and few cloud for most. South-western areas of Ireland and England clouding over and turning breezier later.
Tuesday Another warm day with temperatures reaching 26C in the south. Some clouds over southwest, otherwise sunny periods for most, extended over northern areas. Mainly dry.
