Wed 25 Jun
Unsettled Over Weekend.

Wednesday 25/06/03 to Thursday 26//06/03
Another sunny day on Wednesday for most parts, with plenty of warm summer sunshine. The best of this will be across Northern England, North Wales and Central parts of Ireland. During the morning, southern England will see some showery outbreaks of rain. Into the afternoon and evening, these will become heavier with the risk of thunder. At the same time, cloud will thicken across western Ireland and Scotland, with rain later. Feeling rather humid once more, especially in the south, and this will allow showers to rumble on here into Thursday. Sunshine will be most predominant in north-eastern parts once again on Thursday, where it will be very warm. Sunshine also across England and Wales, but also a scattering of thunderstorms. Across Ireland and Northern Ireland, rain will spread eastwards, often heavy. Southerly winds will become strong here too, and overnight this rain will move slowly eastwards, with further thundery showers at times elsewhere.

Friday 27/06/03 to Saturday 28/06/03
A very unsettled day on Friday, with low pressure dominating the scene. Much of Scotland, Northern and Eastern England will have bright spells, but also some hefty showers, thundery at times. Northern Ireland, Wales and south-west England will see heavy rain, this spreading across many parts of Central and Southern England during the afternoon. Rain will continue overnight, although the south-east will become mostly dry. Into Saturday, most parts will see rain of one form or another. For eastern parts, some sunny spells but also some thundery showers. The spine of the country will see a lot of cloud and some rain from time to time. Across the west, some pleasant sunny spells, but cloud increasing during the evening with further rain. Warm in the east, cooler and fresher further west.

Sunday 29/06/03 to Tuesday 01/07/03
Low pressure still in control on Sunday, however between weather fronts we'll see rather brighter conditions for many. Northern Scotland, and equally Southern England will be cloudy at times, always with the threat of rain. Elsewhere however, some sunny spells although with a scattering of sharp showers. Generally rather warm, although cooler in the west. The new week will see predominantly unsettled weather, in the form of showers for many. There will be sunny spells however, more especially on Tuesday when many parts will escape with a dry day. The far north will always remain rather cloudy, with patchy rain at times. Temperatures slightly above average, although at this stage next week's weather is not entirely certain. Next update : 27/06
