Please click here for details of the weather over the next few days.

Monday 01/03/04 to Tuesday 02/03/04
It will be a cold, frosty start across most places on Monday morning, but it will be dry with plenty of sunny spells. The best of the afternoon sunshine will be across central and southern parts of England, together with Wales. Staying cold in the south, but Ireland and Scotland will feel less cold with south-westerly winds. Overnight, another widespread frost will form, with fog patches in places. Any fog will quickly clear on Tuesday morning however, then most places will have another dry day with plenty of sunshine. With light winds, it will feel quite pleasant in the brightness, although a keen northerly breeze will keep eastern England a little chilly. Later in the afternoon, western parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland will cloud over from the west.

Wednesday 03/03/04 to Thursday 04/03/04
Wednesday morning will be cold and frosty across central and eastern parts of England, with fog patches. It will stay dry and bright here for much of the day, but feeling rather cold. Elsewhere, south-westerly winds are expected to freshen, bringing cloud and patchy rain in from the west during the afternoon, mostly to parts of Ireland and western Scotland. Overnight, more persistent rain is expected across western parts, with any frost becoming confined to the extreme south-east. On Thursday, fresh south-westerly winds will spread rain, heavy at times across much of Ireland, Scotland and northern England. The rest of England and Wales will be cloudier than of late, with occasional light rain or drizzle here and there, although many places should stay dry. Milder everywhere.

Friday 05/03/04 to Saturday 06/03/04
On Friday, there will be a good deal of cloud around, and a band of rain spreading from north to south. Some of the rain will be heavy at times, especially across Scotland and northern England for a time. By the end of the day, northern parts will be brighter, but colder with a scattering of wintry showers. Elsewhere, it will stay milder but cloudy with showery rain. By Saturday, most places will be dry with sunny spells, after early frost clears. Eastern Scotland and eastern England may have one or two showers, wintry over the hills, but most parts will stay dry. Feeling colder everywhere, with a fresh northerly wind.
